Lāhainā Strong is a grassroots movement dedicated to a resilient, sustainable, and just future for our community and all of Hawaiʻi. We are committed to ensuring that the path forward is driven by the voices of our people and rooted in the values that have sustained us for generations.

Every action we take and every contribution we receive fuels our work on the ground—from organizing community events and mental wellness programs to our ʻĀina Days, where we gather to heal our lands. We believe in a recovery that puts the needs of our ‘ohana first, ensuring our community has the power to shape its own destiny.

Our 5 Demands

We stand firm in our commitment to a future where our people and our resources are protected. Our work is guided by these five essential pillars:

• House the People: Ensuring secure, permanent, and dignified housing for our local families.
• Restore the Wai: Protecting our water rights and returning life-giving water to our streams.
• Heal the ʻĀina: Restoring the health and integrity of our lands through community stewardship.
• Transform the Economy: Building a diversified economy that serves the people, not just outside interests.
• End Corruption: Demanding transparency, accountability, and a seat at the table for our community.
